Author Spotlight – Imogene Nix

1) How long have you been writing for the purpose of publication?
I've been writing for two and half years in earnest.

2) What's the shortest and/or longest amount of time it's ever taken you to complete a book?
The shortest is for a 3K piece and was achieved in about a week…by the time I had finished editing it, ready to go.
The longest is actually a piece I've not long finished… It was a stop-start story and took me two years.

3) What is your writing schedule like?
Schedule? Wow, no one told me I had to have a schedule :) But seriously, it does depend. When I'm starting I usually work from around 8 AM until 5-6 PM Monday to Friday. As I get close to the end, it's whatever hours it takes seven days a week.

4) Is there a certain time of the day that you tend to be more creative?
Not really. For me it's just when the idea strikes :)

5) Where is your favorite place to write?
My office. I have the music of my choice, statues, and reference materials at hand. It's also the one place that when I close the door, no one enters.

6) Are you plotter or a panser?
I am such a pantster.

7) What advice would you give to a new writer?
Write. Get your ideas down on paper. If you don't get it down, you'll never get it finished! Join groups who will support your journey, and learn the basics, take classes, buy books on the craft. And read. Read some more. And then again!

8) Who are some of your favorite authors?
I have a few: JD Robb, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Cat Adams, Victoria Thompson, Chloe Neill, Kalayna Price… Yeah, there's a few!

9) What's your favorite way to procrastinate?
Facebook :) I get on and Jewel Epic, read posts, and before I know it, it's lunchtime.

10) Chocolate or vanilla, coffee or tea, Coke or Pepsi, dogs or cats, sunrises or sunsets?
Chocolate, Coffee, Coke, Dogs and Sunsets :)

11) Are you a collector of anything?
China, statues, and cool Luis Royo & Anne Stokes prints :)

12) What's your biggest pet peeve?
People who spam on Facebook, motorcycles that whine all day long, and dog hair!

What happens when wrong and right collide amidst indescribable passion?

Jonah Fielding has been brought in to clean up the Department of Authority on Centauri. In the course of his work, he captures Kadie Frost, the young woman who managed to escape his sting operation. Kadie, an orphan, now almost destitute illegal parts runner, is shocked to find herself falling for the man who arrested her.

Jonah's world is one that Kadie doesn't understand and fears. When he offers her a deal, she agrees to help him with the investigation. Now they must fight an impossible attraction, find the bad guys, and along the way they'll even end up getting married…purely for the sake of the case, of course.

In the middle of upheaval they find themselves surprised by the scorching promise of passion while bewildered at how it all went awry. The clock is ticking and anything can happen next. Will they survive when work and pleasure collide?

Content Warning: This book contains a sexy, hot man in uniform and a wayward, hotheaded woman, as well as lots of adventure of the futuristic and bedroom variety.
